It’s Family Picture Season!

It’s Family Picture Season!

Family Picture Season!

It’s that time of the year! Christmas card season! Ok, I know what you’re thinking, family pictures is too much work. I get it! I really really get it! Coordinating outfits and schedules and haircuts and all the things to pull it off is quite a task! Most of the time people just opt out because there’s so much involved in making it happen. Truth be told, family picture season is actually one of my most favorite times of the year! I have always just enjoyed coordinating outfits for my entire family and more than anything, the joy that comes with the final product! I often go back through the years of our family pictures and they are genuinely so sentimental to me now. It’s an opportunity to capture a season with your babies that I promise will be fleeting. My mind is always blown by how much kiddos have grown from year to year. I will treasure these pictures forever and I believe they will too, even though the actual process isn’t always the most fun! Ha!

Practically speaking, I always like to start with one outfit and build around that. I bet you can imagine whose outfit we build around for our family pictures! That’s right, I always choose Evie’s outfit first!  Her outfit helps determine if the picture will be dressy or casual! After that,  I like to make sure 1-2 of us is in a pattern or print that introduces other complimentary color options!  Once I choose a color theme I build the rest of our outfits around that! I promise you, it can actually be fun! Let those creative juices flow momma!

If I can encourage you in anything today it’s to push through the stress and make it happen! Capture that moment in time. It’s worth it! I love making family picture boards and I’m going to attach some of my favorites here! I hope they inspire you! Reach out if you need help coordinating your outfits! I would genuinely LOVE to help you!

Happy picture taking!

Brandi
